The Core delivers winners on all sessions for Monday!

Well traders lets have a very quick look at Mondays live trades.  After sitting through a solid winning session on Mondays Early Forex session the anticipation for a winning session on the Dax was high…..and the Core did not disappoint!

Our first trade of the day was a short reversal setting up just after the European markets opened.  The Dax opened up strongly and quickly become overbrougt based on our indicators.  We were then triggered into our reversal which only went to 50% of its target.  Our trade management ensured we were utilising a dynamic stop and we were able to cut our risk down on our first trade to 9ts. 

We didn’t need to wait too long for our next set-up trade which provided us with a long cross.  The trade triggered and hit full target within 8 minutes providing us with 18pts profit.  Finishing the European Dax session with a total profit of 9pts.

Total pts profit $224 Euro

Our next session kicked off on the open of the US session with us trading our Core strategy on the Russell emini.  This market is ideal for new traders and it is currently running at a 71% win rate.  Last week produced 4 out of 5 winning nights so we were looking to continue our high win rate on this market using our “power of quitting” strategy. 

First trade of the day set up on the Globex we were triggered into a reversal that went to target deivering 1.80pts.  Then a Deep pullback short set up and triggered providing us with our second winning trade for 1.70.

Total 3.5pts profit $350 per contract traded

Our last session had us trading the Dax directly after our 2 winners on the Russell.  1 trade taken for the session which was a reversal long delivering 16.5pts profit. 

Total 16.5 pts profit $412.50 Euro per contract

Feb finishes positive after a tough week!

 Interestingly this was our first week since November 7th that we almost finished with a loosing week on the 610 Dax.  So for now run continues!

Market sells off and we have winners all round!!

Hi Traders,

This will be a very quick update that I will be trying to get on every day just to give you a very brief snapshot of our live calls.  We will continue to post our tabled results comparing all of our systems.  I will be posting the last two weeks results later today and you will be surprised at how well the multiple system has performed during the last week of choppy market conditions.  I will also be calling the 610 trades live on the Dax if the set up during our European or US session starting tonight.

Monday 23 February 2009 – Live trade calls

European session was slow and we set up with a short reversal on our Core system and spent 2hrs waiting for the trade to complete or stop us out.  This rarely happens and all traders had the option to close out of the trade at 10:00am German exchange time.   Trade eventually stopped out -17.5pts ($437.50 Euro)

Our next session kicked off on the US open and we traded the Russell 233 tick chart using our trustly Core system.   We had two trades set up first was a reversal short that delivered 2.5pts and then a pullback into our trading bands set-up another short trade that delivered 2.2 pts profit.  2 winners and done in 37minutes…….nice!

Russell results 4.7 points profit $470.00USD

 We then called two trades on the Dax Core with the first set up a deep pullback delivering 19pts and a pullback shortly after going to target for 12.5pts.  Two winners and done within 15minutes of of starting the session, even better!!  total pts taken 31.5 $787.50 Euro.

We then moved onto the Simple 2.0 222 tick chart on the Dax  and called our 5th winning trade for the session.  A pullback into the bands set up a textbook short pullback looking for a 1x target we collected  17.5 points profit $437.50Euro.

Tough week turns positive!!

 

1st week of February kicks off and turns out to be a fairly neutral week on all systems except the Simple 2.0 610.  This system and tick chart is keeping us positive week after week and is proving to be a very consistent performer.  We need to remember that the 610 is only called live during the Dax European session and again when we kick off at 15:50 German Exchange Time for the US session.  The point totals provided in the table below also include the session times from 17:00-22:00 Exchange time.

Here comes the Russell 233!!

Hi everyone,

I will have last weeks numbers shortly for our live calls and also our system trades.  However I though I would give you plenty of warning as we are just about to launch our new session on the Russell.  We have been busy trying to find a replacement for the Eurostoxx50.  Lets be brutally honest here, our Eurostoxx50 Core trading has struggled since  November.  We are currently running just under breakeven and that doesn’t include brokerage, so its time to retire the Eurostoxx50!

We need to remember as traders our number 1 priority is making money.  Avoid getting emotionally attached to a market as that can sometimes be a traders downfall.  We have so many opportunities with the systems we trade so now is the time to turn our attention to a very lucrative opportunity we like to refer to as the Russell 233 tick.  Our strategy for extracting these little pieces of gold will be the UMT Core. 

We are in the fortunate position to be able to apply our system to any market and time frame/tick chart for trading.  so our job here is to bring our members the best markets to trade.  We have over 10 full-time traders/coaches constantly looking at markets, backtesting and forward testing to ensure you are getting the best possible “bang for your buck”!

You only have to look at the work TJ, Mike and Brian are doing with the T-Notes and the emini’s to deliver consistent profitable trading strategies.  Also Mark’s new push into the Forex to ensure we absolutely nail that market with the development of Forex live.  There has never been a better time to be a UMT owner.  You will find that this year our focus will solely be on ensuring our members success.  Never before has so much time, effort and energy been put into identifying the best markets and strategies for you to trade!!

Paul Walker is one of newest UMT coaches/traders.  His focus over the last six months has been the tracking and trading the Russell 233 tick using the Core strategy.  Paul has developed a slight modification to the standard rules for trading the Russell which has helped him achieve almost a 69% win rate since September 08.  Over the last 4 months his refined strategy has netted a total of $29,860 USD trading 1 contract using the “power of quitting” – 2 winners and done.  Most sessions usually last for no more than 1 hour………that is what I call trading!

We will be launching our live Russell trading room utalising the UMT “power of quitting positive startegy” 1 hour before we start trading our Dax session, 8:15am New York Exchage time.

Examining the Dax 610!!

Just thought I would post a quick blog ahead of the final numbers for this week in light of the spate of emails concerning our recent run on the Dax!!

First and foremost lets take a little time here to get things absolutely crystal clear moving forward concerning our UMT systems and their performance on the Dax:

1. Firstly there is absolutely no doubt our systems have a very good edge.  We are currently enjoying a winning rate of between 60-65% on all systems being traded on the Dax;
2. All systems including our UMT  go through losing days, weeks and sometimes a losing month.  The results on this blog are consistent but far from outstanding.  Granted the 610 is absolutely humming along at the moment.  However, every other system has experienced losing trades, as has the 610; 
3. The results posted on the blog are from our live calls and fills for the Dax Core, Simple 2.0 (144) and Eurostoxx50 Core.  We do not call any live trades on the Simple 2.0 ( 610 tick)  or the Advanced Tactics, except during the European session.  
4. The 610 (tick) is very, very slow moving strategy on the Dax to trade and produces approx 5-8 trades per day.  It requires several traders to trade the system, simply due to the time involved.  Our managed Fund trading team actually trades this system every day and it has been the most profitable strategy/system we have traded.  However, that being said, we have a very specific trading pla, and a team of disciplined traders n to achieve these results.  The system is performing at approximately 66% and requires a large capital base to trade as the losing sessions can be anywhere from 5-95pts.  I will be providing a complete statistical breakdown of th eperformance of all our systems in the coming days, including the 610.   I am more than happy to share our trading plan with our members, all you need to do is email me your request for a copy.  I am also working on a hedging strategy for the 610 to reduce the risk on our pullback trades which I will be sharing with our members in the coming weeks.

Live calls

While we do promote a signal service I would strongly encourage anyone interested in our systems to come into the trading room and spend some time utilising our free two week trial.  I personally am not a huge fan of signal services and would much prefer those in my room to own their system and be trading from your own charts, utilising the room to confirm your trade set-ups.  At some point, we as traders all need to step up and become accountable for our trading success.  Don’t leave this in the hands of others!!
